Some coats need more attention than others, and going to the groomer every couple months isn't enough to kee their coats healthy. These dogs need brushing weekly, if not more often. If a pet does not receive regular brushing at home between grooms, the coat can get compacted or matted.

A slicker brush and metal comb should be all you need! Use the brush, being sure to get down to the skin, all throughout your dogs whole body. Then use the metal comb in the same manner to help you find any spots that need extra attention. If the comb stops, there is a knot you can continue to work on with your brush.

Brushing can be made into a positive bonding experience for your dog!!
